adios 2009

Despite the fact, that I am rejoicing about moving on to 2010 in less than 24 hours ago, I have to stop and say thank you...

Thank you 2009, for the confidence you have caused me to gain, and for the independence that I now cling to...

Thank you for everything I have learned. No tears were wasted this year. There were important lessons to be learned behind all of them.

Thank you for the emotional scars that make forgetting... impossible. They’ll serve as reminders for the rest of my life, and hopefully I’ll never make the same mistakes again.

Thank you for strengthening my hatred for Satan.

Thank you for giving me better understanding of what it means to truly love.

Thank you for giving me even more appreciation for the years when happiness greatly outshines the suffering.

Thank you for ending on a much more joyful note than the one we started with this year. These last few weeks have given me so much to look forward to. :]

And thank you for all the wonderful memories from the good times we had this year...


It was nice knowing you, 2009.
I can’t say that you will be missed, but you will never be forgotten...
