stepping out...

Yes, Im stepping out of writers chair for a blog and I'm gonna ramble and not think about grammar, sentence structure and all that business.

Just a recap of the last little bit.

Saturday was so fun! I met James, Morgan, and Lukas at Panera for lunch. James was so cute, they stopped at a natural pet food store and he found this pink bowl,pink litter scoop, some toy, and some litter bags. He bought them for Pee Wee (my kitten. She is so spoiled... he he! Lunch was fun... Sherry... your kids are great :)!!! We learned from Lukas how to clean our belly buttons and sometimes you get "boogers" out.. haha We left for the church to meet everyone else. We went to do art projects with the Alzheimer patients. The kids LOVED it. I loved watching them. I got the job of taking pictures... I had fun (it kept me out OF the pictures... hehe, plus I enjoy taking picures)!! There was one resident in particular that I think I will always remember. It was a man named Don. His wife came to visit him. I could see on her face that she wanted him to remember her so bad. But he didn't. She had to introduce herself to him. She sat with him and talked while the kids painted him pictures. I came over to take pictures and he asked me what my name was and gave me a hug. He was so sweet. Cindy... Noah just touched my heart when he handed Don the picture and gave him and his wife a hug... I almost lost it :) Watching Don and his wife, I got all teary eyed and had to leave the room for a bit. I was so struck by the look on his face when he looked at her. I felt like for and instant he remembered her and I saw love in his face. It was so moving.

Also something else fun about Saturday was the ride to the day center. I had never really gotten the chance to talk to Cindy much, but I rode over with her because the van was full and the boys took over James' car. No big deal :) It was good to talk to her. Its funny how you can be around people for so long and never really talk to them... I enjoyed it Cindy :)

Sunday was sooooo good. The am service was good. James and I went to Cootie Browns for lunch... always enjoy the time with him :). Went home and slept till 5!!! I must have been more tired than I realized.... ha ha. Went back to church. The service was amazing!!! Its amazing how you can just be singing and see someone getting a blessing and have it overflow to you. When Larry stood up and started praising God, I was getting the splashes!!! It was soooo good. I needed to feel God. We were singing "because he loved me." The part that says, " O praise his dear name he loves me so, Now I am his, he's mine I know" Always makes me smile!! Its so awesome to know that there is someone that loves me more than I could ever repay!!

Then... as James and I are walking to the fellowship hall... I collide with the asphalt. Come to find out... knees, elbows, and hips are not friends with gravity or the ground! I think my knee hurts the wort. I have this HUGE knot and no good skin left!! It was kind of funny because I just sat there and everyone came over to see if I was ok... James was funny, he turns around not knowing what had happened... we tried to say he pushed me... he he Nope.. I'm just too uncoordinated for my own good. He picked my stuff up, helped me to the fellowship hall. I love him :) Had to throw that in there :) Got home and iced the knee.

I stayed up late helping Vikki with a project. Its funny how someone can treat me like dirt as she does at times... and yet I still bend over backwards to help. I am definately an enabler to her. She would burn water and never have clean laundry if I didn't keep up with her. I cant help it... I mother everyone. They call me "Momma Crystal" at work... I just love to take care of people.

SO, now Im off to balance the budget at work... and actually do the things they pay me to do... haha Back to work, school, working out and all that business! BUSY week!!

By the way, thank you to everyone who keeps encouraging me about my blog. I feel so small and I wonder if anything I say is important. I'm glad that you guys are enjoying it :) Thanks for letting me ramble :)
